Young signs professional deal

1 August 2016

SWINDON Town are delighted to announce that Jordan Young has put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the club.

The second-year scholar has signed a three-year deal at SN1.

A graduate of the STFC academy, Young made his Town debut against Port Vale in February aged 16 and 185 days – the fourth-youngest player to make their Swindon bow after Lloyd Macklin, Paul Rideout and Ernie Hunt.

On the final day of the 2015/16 season, his goal against Shrewsbury Town at the County Ground made him the third-youngest Town goalscorer behind Paul Rideout and Andy Caton.

The forward has been a regular fixture in Luke Williams’ matchday squads throughout pre-season.
