Luke Norris is encouraged by recent results and is hoping Town can now push on and go on a run in the Sky Bet League One.
The Reds have claimed four points from their last two outings and, with no game this weekend, Norris is hoping a rested and refreshed Robins’ outfit will be able to enjoy a fruitful December.
“It is nice to switch off and you need it because it is so hectic so it will be nice to switch off, but we’ve got a game on Tuesday and that is always in your mind,” he said.
“We got a point away from home and three points at home so we need to take that into the next few games because we need a run of consistency.
“We’ve got two results back-to-back so the next few games will be massive.
“The luck has gone against us but we’ve had a bit of luck in the last few weeks which we’ve been due.
“Everyone is positive and everyone knows what we’re capable of. Hopefully we will see that in the coming weeks.”
Norris has also shared his favourite memories from the 2016/17 campaign so far, including what he considers to be the best goal scored by Town this term.
“Our result against Charlton was massive. Beating a team of that size at home on the TV was great and there was a lot of pressure on it because they were struggling and so were we.
“That game showed our quality and it was a massive result for us.
“The goal of the season so far would have to be Anton Rodgers’ strike against Bradford. He does it a lot in training and I didn’t realise how far out it was until I watched the highlights.
“For me, that’s the best goal we’ve scored so far.
“I’m a big fan of John Goddard. He has come from non-league and he’s been very good.
“He’s got a low centre of gravity and he spun Charlton’s left-back about three times so I’ve been impressed with him and I like him as a player.”
