Barry: Work Hard As A Team

5 February 2016

BRAD Barry says that all eleven Town players on the field at Gillingham must work hard if the visitors are to take anything from their trip to the Priestfield tomorrow.

Speaking to the official website before Saturday's game in Kent, the full back also recalled Swindon's last encounter with the Gills - a 3-1 home defeat on Boxing Day.

"Theyre a good side but we'll be looking to take the three points," he said. "It's going to be a tough shift from all of us lads because they've been doing really well. We've just got to get ourselves together and work hard as a team. That's all we can do make sure all eleven of us are working.

"It was a good game over Christmas. As an overall performance we all did well. It was a disappointing result thats the way that football goes sometimes."

Finally, Barry reflected on Tuesday's defeat at Port Vale, a game that started a sequence of three consecutive away matches.

"Three away games on the trot isn't pleasant but we're looking to take as many points as possible and work our way up the table," he said. "It was a disappointing one (at Port Vale). Obviously we were looking to get all three points but I felt it was a good performance from us lads. It (the goal) was a defensive error but it's things we can work on in training."
