Speaking to the official website, the First Team Coach added that, given the circumstances, a draw was a good result for Swindon at the Priestfield Stadium.
“They’re quite a close group that get on well so the atmosphere in training is pretty good and pretty positive,” he said. “They took a lot out of that game (Gillingham) in terms of the ‘roll your sleeves up’, ‘work hard’, ‘make sure you don’t get rolled over’ and to come away with a point after not playing the thrilling football that perhaps we like to do at times was a real big bonus for them.
“It was a very good point. It was very difficult circumstances going to a team at the top of the league and going for promotion - they gave us a real test on Boxing Day so to come away with a point in really difficult conditions was a good result.”
Finally, Embleton touched on what he was expecting from this Saturday's visit to Colchester United.
"I’ve watched a couple of their last few games," he said. "They’re a good footballing team who try to play the game in a positive way. Hopefully from our perspective we can try and keep their run of defeats going."
