Swindon Sign Sendles-White

16 February 2016

TOWN have signed Jamie Sendles-White on a deal until the end of the season.

Formerly of Queens Park Rangers and Hamilton Academical in Scotland, the defender has represented Northern Ireland at Under-19 and Under-21 level and will wear the squad number 21 during his time in Wiltshire.

Speaking to the official website shortly after signing, the 21-year-old declared that he was looking forward to the remainder of the 2015/16 campaign.

“I’m very pleased to have signed,” he said. “It’s been quite a stressful couple of weeks getting everything sorted but I’m glad it’s all sorted now and I can get my head down for the rest of the season.

“I came in pre-season and once last season with a view to a loan but that didn’t come through. It’s a club that I like. I like the philosophy and I like how they play so I’m glad to be here.”

He added: “I came from QPR - I was there for six years. I left in the summer and signed for Hamilton in Scotland. It didn’t work out for me there so I’m glad to be at a club now where I can enjoy my football and keep my head down.

“I’m a centre-back, I like to play to pass and to defend as well so hopefully this is the right club for me.”

The club are still awaiting international clearance in order to complete the defender's registration.
