Speaking to swindontownfc.co.uk, the defender explained what the squad had taken away from the 2-1 loss.
“The work rate,” he said. “Obviously, playing against a team from the league above they are going to have the experience as well. It’s a disappointing result after taking the lead but it’s one of those games - it’s a learning curve to be more disciplined at the back and in midfield, not make sloppy passes and stuff like that but it’s pre-season. It’s where you get all your mistakes out early. It’s just about trying to get as many minutes as you can under your belt before the season starts."
On Saturday, Town head east to face Woking and Barry admits that the Cards will provide another stern test for the team.
“It’s not going to be an easy,” he continued. “The boys certainly aren’t going to take it easy. The boys are going out there to win but obviously the main thing is to get minutes under your belt. We want to win and start making that a habit.”
