LW: Just out of our reach

LUKE Williams spoke to the media after Town's 3-0 defeat at the hands of Swansea City.

On the defeat...
I think we did very well in the first half in particular. When you're playing against such good players and they make nine changes - nine more Premier League players coming on - it's difficult but it was just out of our reach to compete without three at the back. There were too many gaps and that was exploited. That’s why these guys are playing at the very top. With three at the back possibly we can deal with that a bit better but at the moment we haven’t got enough players in the building to replace Raphael (Rossi-Branco). It is what it is - it’s a pre-season friendly and we're playing against top players. We had one or two more chances and we would have been able to protect a lead. It wasn’t to be. Once we’d been forced into the change in formation it was always going to be very difficult for us.
On Raphael Rossi-Branco...
We're concerned. He's had surgery in the summer and initially it looks like the same problem we thought we’d solved with the surgery. In the next 24/48 hours we should know more. He's very upset now. He had that surgery at the end of last season and it's taken him a long time to get fit enough to train. He's got himself up to the same level as the rest of the squad and he sacrificed a lot of his summer.
