STLFC close in on top spot

14 March 2016

Swindon Town Ladies gained three valuable points when they beat Chichester City in the FA Women’s Premier League Division One (South West), writes Roger Reeves.

The game was settled in the 29th minute when Alex Hurst was brought down in the visitors' penalty area. She got up and made no mistake from the spot.

With two teams challenging for top place it was a hard-fought contest. Both sets of defences were well drilled and when they were breached, Robyn Levett in the Town goal and her opposite number, Sally Thompson were equal to everything that got through.

The win keeps the Town in third place.
