STLFC Host Fellow Promotion-Chasers On Sunday

10 March 2016

SECOND play third when the Town entertain Chichester City in a FA Women’s Premier League fixture on Sunday, writes Roger Reeves.

Chichester are three points ahead of the Town but the Town have two games in hand. When the two sides met in Sussex earlier in the season a Beth Westlake goal gave the Town a share of the points.

Manager Steve Robertson said: "We know that we are in for a tough game as Chichester are a strong, physical side. Although we lost in the League Cup at Nottingham Forest last week, we can take a lot of positives from that game. Forest are a top side from the division above us but we matched them in every area. We have got to carry this over into our league programme if we want to be challenging for top spot at the end of the season."

Alex Hurst returns and the Town have included new signing Natalia Haigh in the squad for Sunday’s game.

SQUAD: Robyn Levett, Alice Smith, Sam Quinn, Serena Smith, Ellie Maynard, Alison Witts, Chyna Collings, Savanaha Winstone, Alex Hurst, Natalia Haigh, Michelle Rich, Beth Westlake, Sarah Uzzell, Chenise Austin, Sally Butterfield and Meg Attenborough.

Sunday’s game will be played at Shrivenham FC, Barrington Park, Shrivenham SN6 8BJ and will kick-off at 2pm.
