Branco Reflects On Southend And Looks Ahead To Bradford

24 November 2016

Town defender Raphael Rossi-Branco reflected on Tuesday’s 1-1 draw away at Southend United and has looked ahead to our Sky Bet League One encounter against Bradford City at The County Ground on Saturday.

“If we show passion every game and just try to play a little bit better then we’ll be fine,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk.

“The last twenty minutes against Southend was hard. There were too many balls in the box and Lawrence Vigouroux made some very good saves and our centre-halves blocked a lot of balls.

“Everyone gave everything on the pitch and everyone was exhausted after the game.

“It was a tough game. Southend are a good side and they’ve got some very good players.

“The results will come.

“I made my debut against Bradford and I remember every single second of my debut. It was one of the greatest games of my career and one I will never forget.

“I’ve played a few times against them and it is going to be a hard game. They are in good form, they’ve got experienced players but if we start the game with the same intensity, with the same passion and with the same character then we’ve got everything to win the game.

“Our squad now is getting better and it is not going to be easy but we’re playing at home and hopefully the fans will help us to get the three points we need.”
