Tommy Ouldridge is eyeing up a lengthy run in the FA Youth Cup this season and is confident of Town’s U18s chances against Salisbury FC tonight (7.30pm Kick-Off).
“All the boys are buzzing. It is mainly second years so this will be our last year in the tournament and we’re looking for a good cup run to make our last one a good one,” the young midfielder told swindontownfc.co.uk.
“It is a big stage for us and we’re looking forward to hopefully getting the win but we can’t underestimate them just because they are a lower league side.
“We want to advance and play a big team at a big stadium – that’s what we’ll all looking for.
“We’re expecting a very physical game but we back ourselves, we’ve worked on shape all week and we believe if we do the dirty work then we can beat them both physically and technically.”
