Town midfielder Tom Smith is hoping to be involved against Bradford City today (3pm Kick-Off) and wants to build on Tuesday’s 1-1 draw away at Southend United.
“It was great to get on against Southend and it was an intense game. I had to come on and carry out a defensive duty and help the team get the 1-1 draw,” he said.
“I’ve never really been in that situation before so for my development it was great because I came on and dealt with it.
“It was nice to be thrown on and be trusted in that position and in that time of the game.
“We need to maintain that good attitude when we do go behind because we’ve lacked that in recent games. We do need to have that positive attitude when we go behind.
“Bradford are a good side and they are probably going to play a little bit direct at times. They are going to be big and physical so it is going to be a good game.
“We know our game plan so I’m confident we can get a result.
“It is important we all stick together and we get the crowd back on side. We need the win and Tuesday night was a starting point in terms of where we need to go, so hopefully we can build on that today.”
