Town midfielder Conor Thomas wants to put Tuesday’s disappointment behind him and is now focused on securing a return to winning ways against Rochdale on Saturday.
Luke Williams’ side head to the Crown Oil Arena determined to bounce back after bowing out of the FA Cup at the hands of Eastleigh on Tuesday, and Thomas is determined to put that result right against Dale this Saturday.
“We prepare the same way we always do. We’ll be training hard on Thursday and Friday ready for that game,” he said.
“It has been up and down so we’ve got to get our heads back on it and we’ll be working hard to come away with the three points.
“It is another league game so we’ll have to concentrate on the league now and try and sort our position out.
“It is going to be a very tough game but we’re going to be preparing for Rochdale.
“We’re under no illusions that it is going to be an easy game but winning breeds confidence so hopefully we’ll get the three points.
“We’ve got to perform on a more consistent basis now.”
