Vigouroux Confident Of A Town Response Against Dale

18 November 2016

Lawrence Vigouroux is confident Town can shake off the disappointment of Tuesday night and bounce back with a win away at Rochdale on Saturday.

The Reds were knocked out of the FA Cup in midweek by Eastleigh and now face a long trip to the Crown Oil Arena tomorrow (3pm Kick-Off).

Town ran out comfortable 3-0 winners against Dale at SN1 last month and whilst Vigouroux is expecting a much different game tomorrow, the keeper has backed his side to produce the goods.

“We need to find a happy medium. We get too happy and carried away when we win and I don’t think we should be happy winning one game in League One, we should be going into every game knowing that we can win it,” he said.

“We’ve got to find that happy medium and not be too happy when we win and when we lose be upset but know we can win the next week – that’s the most important thing in terms of our consistency.

“We’ve all got to stick together. We need to go into every game knowing that we can win but if we lose or we draw, we can’t be too upset, we can’t dwell on it and we have to go into the next game expecting to get three points.

“That is what a club of this stature and with the players we’ve got here needs to do in this league.

“Tuesday wasn’t good enough and we’ve got a tough game away at Rochdale now, but there is nothing wrong with saying that we can get three points there.

“I just want to get another win on the road on Saturday and get as many wins as possible.

“We’ve just got to concentrate on ourselves. Like I said, Tuesday wasn’t good enough and hopefully we can get a reaction from the boys on Saturday and we can go and get three points at a really tough place.

“I’m confident in the boys and I’m confident in the squad.

“We’ve got to go into tomorrow’s game with the same mentality as we did last month but we can’t expect the same game as last month.

“We’ve just got to go there and work really hard, adapt to the conditions and hopefully we can get the three points.”
