Swindon Town FC are considering developing a new state-of-the-art training centre facility at the former Twelve Oaks Golf Club at Highworth which would also provide the Club with a new headquarters base.
The site has been secured initially by Chairman, Lee Power.
The new facilities will include gymnasium, treatment rooms and lecture/training rooms for the first team squad and academy players, with grass training pitches and a floodlit 4G artificial surface pitch. The new centre will also provide offices for the running of the Club in line with other professional football clubs.

.Initial discussions have taken place with Highworth Town Council in respect of the project and the Club is hopeful that the local community will support the project. It is early days, but the Club is optimistic that the scheme could be developed over the next 24 months if sufficient support is secured
“We are working closely with the local community. We will be developing our proposals in greater detail after further consultation with local people and clubs/organisations over the next few weeks. Lee Power added:
"We want this new training centre and pitch facilities to be of benefit to the local clubs as well as STFC. This will be the first time that STFC have ever had their own state-of-the-art training centre.”
The new training centre will include up to 7 new grass pitches and an all-weather 4G floodlit pitch which will be the main element for community use. The training centre will be housed in a new building with the existing Twelve Oaks Clubhouse converted and refurbished to provide café/restaurant facilities. An improved access and car parking facilities will also be provided. The new site will also feature extensive re-contouring and landscaping.
