Swindon Town have made a huge statement of intent with the signing of Kaiyne Woolery for a fee of £350,000 from Wigan Athletic.
The striker has agreed to terms on a three-year contract at The County Ground, subject to EFL & FA approval.
Blessed with sheer natural pace and an eye for goal, Woolery is a huge signing for the football club and highlights’ the Reds ambition to secure an immediate return to the Sky Bet League One.
Speaking exclusively to iFollow Town shortly after clinching a move to SN1, the 22-year-old revealed his joy at getting the move over the line and he outlined his aims for this season.
“I’m delighted to sign for such a big club,” he said.
“It has been going on for a few weeks now so I’m just happy to have got it all sorted.
“The biggest attraction for me was how much the manager wanted me. He’s been calling me a lot and he came up to see me.

“He told me his plans and how I fit into his plans and that really attracted me.
“I got a promotion last year and I came here to get another one.”
Woolery enjoyed a productive loan spell with Forest Green Rovers last season, netting 13 goals including a brace in the National League Play-Off Final.
Having also been at Bolton Wanderers, Woolery is a player Dave Flitcroft has watched a lot and the Town gaffer was thrilled to finally get his man.
“We’ve tracked him for so long and what I felt the team needed is a cutting edge and outstanding raw pace,” he said.
“Kaiyne is different to the players we’ve got already across the front-line and he was our number one target. We’ve finally got our man over the line.”
