Swindon’s bus company Thamesdown is supporting a drive to kick start vital grass roots football in the town.
The operator is keen to back local community projects and is continuing its sponsorship of Swindon Town Football in the Community Trust, by providing transport for the club’s youngsters during school holiday activities.
“We deliver many different projects and programmes for participants of all ages, across Swindon and the surrounding areas,” said Jon Holloway, head of Trust at Swindon Town Football in the Community Trust.
“It’s no secret that we can’t always rely on good weather during the school holidays - so it’s great that we can trust Thamesdown to step in and take our holiday club participants to indoor training facilities whenever necessary.
“Local children benefit tremendously from having the chance to get involved in football training with excellent coaches - and all the additional benefits that being part of the club brings. I’d like to thank Thamesdown for its excellent support.”
