INJURY UPDATE: Town Still Light On Numbers

Find Out The Latest Team News Before Saturday's Game

1 December 2017

Swindon Town are still light on numbers ahead of our Emirates FA Cup Second Round Tie away at Stevenage on Saturday (3pm Kick-Off).

The Reds have been hit by a spate of injuries in recent weeks with Chris Hussey (groin), Amine Linganzi (hamstring), Donal McDermott (ankle ligaments), Timi Elsnik (muscle) and Luke Norris (ankle) all set to miss tomorrow's game.

However, Lawrence Vigouroux returned to training this week and Town's Assistant Boss, Ben Futcher was on hand to do a full body count with the local media at his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

"We've still got quite a few injuries but Lawrence has cleared up and he's back training," he said.

"Lawrence had a sore thigh so we've strengthened that up, got it right and he's trained so he's back in which is good news.

"He's available for Saturday.

"That's about it really and we're still short.

"We're working with the medical team on Amine Linganzi and it is looking unlikely (for the weekend).

"Luke Norris didn't train on Thursday, Donal McDermott is getting closer but Saturday might be too soon for him.

"It is a difficult one because you want them back in but you don't want to rush them. It is about getting the balance right.

"Tom Smith is cup tied as well so that is where we are at, we'll go with the lads we've got and we're really looking forward to Saturday."
