Taylor Keen To Deliver Some Late Christmas Cheer

Defender Previews Boxing Day Clash

26 December 2017

Matty Taylor is only focussed on helping Town to deliver a late Christmas gift in the form of all three points today.

The former Premier League star will go up against the club who gave him his big break when Luton visit today, but he is only interested in helping the Reds to secure what would be a big victory.

"I wouldn't suggest the game itself has sentimental value, but the fact that I started at Luton and got my opportunity means the club is very close to my heart," he said.

"I'm a Swindon Town player and I want to play my best and help the lads to a significant result.

"I am pleased to see Luton doing well and I would like them to do well this season but not at the expense of ourselves, so we need to pick points up against them.

"It is going to be a tough game, they are a team who are flying themselves and we've got to focus on ourselves.

"If we can replicate our performance on Saturday at home then we will give ourselves a good chance of getting a result.

"I don't know anything different when it comes to playing on Boxing Day. I'll get my time with my family.

"I'll have some family at The Energy Check County Ground and it is an opportunity for us to try and pick up points."
