Club Appealing For Witnesses

26 February 2017

Swindon Town Captain Nathan Thompson unfortunately had his house burgled in the North Swindon area while we were in action away at Coventry City on Saturday.

This happened at approximately 4pm yesterday and the club are urging anybody that might have some information relating to this incident to come forward.

Forensics have yet to investigate the scene but a number of items of jewellery appears to be taken, including Nathan’s purchased wedding rings (a women’s Platinum plain wedding band and a men’s Cartier love ring in rose gold, size 57) – these were in distinct red boxes and the certificates and receipts have also been stolen.

Sentimental jewellery that had been passed down to Nathan and his partner from deceased family members have also been taken.

Witnesses saw two teenagers in the area behaving in a suspicious way and running off on foot with some of the items that are now missing.

Nathan has asked us to pass on the following message: “We are utterly devastated that, during the game yesterday, our home has been completely ransacked. My fiancée was at the game as well so thankfully no one was hurt. I personally urge anyone that might have some information concerning this to please come forward and help the police with their enquiries.”

Swindon Town advise anyone that might be able to help the police with their investigation to contact 101.
