Williams Previews Northampton Test

14 February 2017

Town Head Coach Luke Williams recognises the importance of tonight’s trip to Northampton Town and is confident that his team can secure the three points.

Swindon head to Sixfields later (7.45pm Kick-Off) for a proverbial six-pointer against the Cobblers and Williams believes his side will come out on top as long as they perform to the best of their abilities.

“We know Justin Edinburgh and we know that his teams are always very organised and they really attack with pace, especially in the wide areas,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk.

“They will be very aggressive and we know that it is going to be a difficult game.

“We have to go there confident in ourselves.

“They are a team that have probably suffered from a dip in form and a dip in confidence and they are a team that can be beaten.

“Every game now is huge and we have to perform to the maximum if we want to get anything and that’s what we’ll be aiming to do.

“I expect everybody to be playing for their place and for the team and I expect everybody to give everything they possibly can.”

Williams also had a message for the 250 or so Town fans that are set to make the trip to Sixfields later today.

“I want to thank them for their continued support and please get behind us and help us to win this crucial game,” he concluded.
