Goals The Name Of The Game For Feruz

12 January 2017

Goals are the aim for new boy Islam Feruz who is determined to play his part in helping Town push away from the bottom of the Sky Bet League One table.

The pacey striker joined the Robins on loan until the end of the 2016/17 campaign from Premier League outfit Chelsea on Wednesday, alongside fellow Blues' team-mates Charlie Colkett and Fankaty Dabo.

Having trained with his new team-mates for the very first time earlier today, Feruz is now looking forward to the challenge of adding a spark to the Town attack.

“I’m excited. I’ve played in England before so it is good to be home and in my comfort zone, so I’m excited to get started,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk exclusively.

“Goals is the main aim for me but the most important thing is that the team get better results and three points.

“We’ve come here to help and hopefully we can make an impact and make a difference.

“I’m a striker so I like to score goals but I do enjoy putting up an assist or two so hopefully that goes well for me!

“There are a few familiar faces so it isn’t going to be hard to settle in and I’m looking forward to it.

“We’ve come here to play football, we’ve come here to do well and I’m just looking to score goals.

“Hopefully I can back that up on the pitch.”
