Swindon Town legend Shaun Taylor has shared his memories of clashes against Bristol Rovers ahead of the Reds’ trip to the Memorial Stadium this Saturday.
“I always enjoyed our games against Bristol Rovers and they were always enjoyable games,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk.
“There was always a little bit of an edge to those games.
“The form book went out of the window for those sorts of games and I don’t think I ever lost against Bristol Rovers.
“As a defender your job is always to be a defender and keep clean sheets but I would question anybody who didn’t enjoy scoring a goal and it was always a little bit special for me.
“I did enjoy scoring goals and it was always a little bit nicer scoring against Rovers.
“It is just another league game for the two sides this weekend but there is an edge to it and the fans rise to it and it will be a good occasion.”
