Town Secure Gladwin Return

10 January 2017

Swindon Town have bolstered their ranks for the second-half of the 2016/17 campaign with the signing of midfielder Ben Gladwin.

The 24-year-old has joined the Reds on loan from Championship outfit QPR until the end of the season.

He becomes Town’s first signing of the January Transfer Window and will be available to feature against Bolton Wanderers in the Sky Bet League One this Saturday.

Gladwin returns to SN1 for a third spell having first signed for the club in November 2013 from non-league side Marlow.

After making 16 appearances during the 2013/14 campaign, Gladwin really burst onto the scene the following season after notching eleven goals in 41 games, including scoring eight in as many games towards the end of the term.

It wasn’t long before that stunning form grabbed the attentions of other clubs and the creative force sealed a big move to QPR in May 2015.

But Gladwin was back in Wiltshire last season after agreeing terms on a short-term loan deal, bagging two goals in thirteen games before returning to the R’s.

He has featured on six occasions for the R’s this season but will now spend the remainder of 2016/17 at SN1 as he looks to help Town climb the table.
