Charlie Colkett feels he has settled into life already at SN1 and can’t wait to get started in a Town shirt this weekend.
The midfielder was one of three Chelsea players to join the club on loan until the end of the season earlier this week and, after a busy first couple of days at The County Ground, he sat down with swindontownfc.co.uk to reflect on his first training session with the Reds in addition to discussing a range of different topics.
“I’m really excited to be here and I’ve been looking forward to it over the last few days,” he told Swindon Town’s Official YouTube Channel exclusively.
“I had my first training session on Thursday and I’m even more excited – I’m just looking forward to the weekend now.
“I’ve been on loan previously and played against Swindon and I’ve watched them play before coming in, so it is just the club’s philosophy of football and how they play that attracted me here.
“I think it will suit me down to the ground.
“I think I fitted in really well in my first training session, I’ve got a good range of passing, I can keep the ball well and I can unlock doors, which is what I think we need.
“It has been a hectic couple of days but I’ve really enjoyed it and the first training session was great.
“The lads have helped me to settle in really well and I can’t wait to kick-on now.”
