Conor Thomas has stated that Town will be looking to make it two wins out of two this evening.

After beating Swindon Supermarine 7-1 in their pre-season opener on Saturday, the Reds head to Melksham Town tonight (7:30pm Kick-Off) for their second friendly.

And Thomas says it is important that he and his team-mates look to keep the winning feeling going as they aim to build some early momentum.

“At this point it is about getting the minutes in, getting that winning feeling and it is important that we go into every game wanting to win,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk exclusively.

“We’re just building relationships up all over the pitch.

“The gaffer is trying to get his ideas across and we’re trying to implement them. It might take a bit of time but we’re slowly starting to see a change in training and in the games.

“We’ve just got to keep pushing on and keep implementing the ideas that he’s putting across to us.”

Thomas was also delighted with how both he and the team performed in the win away at Swindon Supermarine on Saturday, with the midfielder getting on the scoresheet.

“It is always nice to get the first runout under your belt,” he added.

“At this point it is about getting the minutes in, getting that winning feeling and it is important that we go into every game wanting to win."

“We had a tough week of training and it felt like it just ran into the game. The messages that the manager has been trying to get across are slowly being implemented and it is always nice to play that first game.

“It is always nice to win as well so it was a good start.

“It was nice to get on the scoresheet and I’m looking to add more goals to my game.

“I’m looking to do that more in pre-season and it is something I’m working on, but it was nice to get that first game out of the way and it was good to get that feeling back.”
