Conor Thomas feels Town will only benefit from the hard graft they are currently putting in out in Portugal.
Dave Flitcroft and his side are in the middle of a warm-weather training camp as they continue to crank up their pre-season preparations.
And Thomas is confident that the sheer efforts being produced by everyone, coupled with the bonds being formed between players, will only serve the Reds well come August.
“The facilities are top class and the gaffer has done a lot of work in getting this place for us and it is brilliant,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk exclusively.
“There are a couple of Championship clubs here as well and the infrastructure is top class, so everything is here to ensure that we have a really tough few days here.
“It is roasting out here at the minute and it is tough when you are working but it helps the fitness and it is harder to train in the warm weather, so hopefully we will be flying when we get back.
“It is really tough but we are here to work here at the end of the day and it would be silly not to take advantage of the great facilities here and give ourselves the best chance.
“We’ve been doing a lot of work in the gym, a lot of circuits, a lot of work on the pitch and it is all about hard work.
“It is roasting out here at the minute and it is tough when you are working but it helps the fitness and it is harder to train in the warm weather, so hopefully we will be flying when we get back."
“It is also about everyone coming together and you get to know everyone on different levels. The team bonding is crucial and the team spirit is crucial so it is good to be able to spend some quality time with the boys as well.
“If we’re going to get out of this league, and that is our aim, then it is going to take every single one of us so the team spirit is crucial and this is a good environment to build that spirit.
“We’re all pulling in the same direction.”
