BREAKING: Town Add To Their Attacking Options With Mullin Signing

Young Forward Becomes Flitcroft's Third Signing

27 June 2017

Swindon Town are thrilled to announce the signing of Paul Mullin from Morecambe for an undisclosed fee.

The striker has put pen to paper on a two-year contract at The County Ground and will link up with his new team-mates for pre-season training today.

Mullin started his footballing career with Liverpool before going on to sign for Huddersfield Town in 2013.

Despite not making a first-team appearance for The Terriers, the forward was snapped up by Morecambe in 2014 and he went on to rack up 102 appearances for the club.

Mullin will add to Town’s attacking options for the 2017/18 campaign and the 22-year-old is relishing the chance to make his mark at a "massive" club.

“I’m made up to be here. It is a massive club,” he told swindontownfc.co.uk exclusively.

“I’m just made up to have got it all done so that I can get ready for pre-season and the new campaign.

“The move came about very fast to be fair. I spoke to the gaffer a couple of days ago and we got it over the line very quickly thankfully.

“From the first moment I spoke to the gaffer and he outlined what he wants from the club and what direction he wants to take us in, which is to get promotion.

“He’s going to base all of that on hard work and everyone coming together, including the fans which will help us.

“The new gaffer has given everyone a lift, the club seems to be on the up again and promotion is obviously the aim.”

Mullin has spent the last few seasons with Morecambe and he’s now looking forward to a fresh start.

“I had a great three years with Morecambe. It was an invaluable experience,” he added.

“Coming to a bigger club like this is great and everything is bigger, the town is bigger and there are more fans so there is going to be pressure.

“I’m relishing it and I can’t wait to start.”
