Swindon Town Boss Dave Flitcroft has heaped praise on opposite number Michael Flynn ahead of tomorrow's game against Newport County at The Energy Check County Ground.

After beating relegation on the final day of last season, The Exiles have transformed themselves into promotion contenders this term and Flitcroft looked ahead to Saturday's game at his pre-match press conference earlier today.

"Michael Flynn has gone in there and it has just looked so easy for him," he said.

"He looks like he enjoys what he does and that will show to the players. They've had brilliant results and that momentum has certainly carried them forward this season.

"They have become a Play-Off contender, possibly more, and that is what momentum can do for you.

"He's done a fantastic job and his team certainly reflect his passion for football."

And Flitcroft went on to praise County's leading scorer Frank Nouble, after revealing that he tried to bring the striker to The Energy Check County Ground in the summer.

"I've worked with Frank and we were very close to getting him here at the start of the season," he added.

"I've worked with him before and he didn't have the energy for the game then, but when I spoke to him and I asked him what his cause was, he just had a child and you could see that it was the one thing that was sparking him and really firing him up again.

"Newport came in and they took him and the rest is history.

"He's had a fantastic season and he's got a cause and he's playing for that cause, which is his family.

"Newport have got a fantastic player."
