Swindon Town Boss Dave Flitcroft says he knows what to expect from Russell Slade's Grimsby Town side ahead of tonight's meeting at Blundell Park (7:45pm Kick-Off).

"They are always competitive in their half, they will get the ball down and work the ball well," he said.

"Russell Slade is a fantastic guy and I've got so much time and respect for him.

"He's a manager that has been around the block, he knows the block, he knows recruitment and he's very thorough at what he does.

"We'll lock horns tonight."

Flitcroft has also questioned the decision to hand Town a trip to Grimsby tonight just days after an away game at Yeovil.

"It is very poor from the authorities or the panel and it costs the club extra money," he added.

"They don't give you extra revenue and it just costs you more money.

"We've got to get all the food and afternoon beds and it just costs you more money.

"You are also in a fatigue element but we've broken the journey up and we'll be going to Rotherham on the way up.

"We've coped with it really well this season and we've had a couple of meaty trips, but this group don't let anything faze them - they are unbelievable.

"I've been supported fantastically well by the Chairman and Westy, our driver, is a massive part of what we do."
