Lancashire - It Is A Good Draw

Skipper Reacts To Stevenage Tie

7 November 2017

Swindon Town Captain Olly Lancashire was pleased with the outcome of The Emirates FA Cup Second Round draw on Monday evening.

The Reds were handed a trip to Stevenage in the Second Round and the Skipper is feeling confident ahead of the tie at Broadhall Way in early December.

"It is a pretty good draw for us," he told swindontownfc.co.uk exclusively.

"Obviously we've played them already this season and our record away from home this term speaks for itself, so we'll go there prepared and hopefully get through to the big Third Round.

"We've been playing really well away from home and we've got one of the best, if not the best, away form in any league and we've proven that we can go on the road and do a decent job.

"We'll be looking to go there and get through to the Third Round and see where that takes us."

Lancashire was also full of praise for his team-mates for the way they equipped themselves during Sunday's convincing First Round victory away at Dartford.

"I was very, very pleased with everyone and it didn't come as a shock to me because I work with these lads on a day-to-day basis," he added.

"That sort of attitude doesn't get tolerated anymore at Swindon and I was very confident that we could go to Dartford and do a very professional job.

"I thought everyone did very well.

"We're in a very good place at the moment.

"We are at that 28 point mark, we are doing very well and we are looking forward to the next phase of games.

"We'll see where we are at that point but everyone is happy and long may that continue."
