Vigouroux Suspended Four Games

Goalkeeper Handed Lengthy Ban

5 October 2017

Swindon Town Football Club can confirm that Lawrence Vigouroux has been handed a four-game suspension by The FA.

The ban relates to an incident that took place in the wake of our 2-1 defeat to Coventry City on Tuesday 26th September 2017.

Lawrence was shown a red card by referee Charles Breakspear after the final whistle for using foul and abusive language towards the match officials.

The club has deemed this as unacceptable behaviour and Lawrence will now be disciplined internally.

As a result of this four game suspension, Vigouroux will miss our trips to Cheltenham Town and Mansfield Town, in addition to the home clash against Lincoln City and the visit of Wycombe Wanderers to The Energy Check County Ground.

Town Manager Dave Flitcroft will be further addressing this at his pre-match press conference later today.
