Essential Information For Those Heading To Forest Green

22 September 2017

Swindon Town are in Sky Bet League Two action tonight when they make the short trip to Forest Green Rovers (7:45pm Kick-Off).

Sky Sports will be televising what is the first-ever league meeting between the two sides and there is expected to be a bumper crowd at The New Lawn.

Town sold out their away allocation earlier this month and we would like to point out the following important information to all fans heading to the game tonight.

CAR PARKING:

With Sky Sports in attendance, there will be NO onsite parking at The New Lawn stadium for both home and away supporters.

However, the Nailsworth School Car Park will be in operation from 5pm and it is open to BOTH home and away fans.

Costing just £5 per car, it is expected that the car park will fill up quickly so we advise fans to arrive early in order to get a space.

There will also be parking available in the field opposite The New Lawn Stadium, with just over 200 parking spaces available between 5pm-11pm tonight. Once again, it is £5 per car (cash only) and this is expected to fill up quickly so please arrive early.

The profit from parking in this field will be donated to two charities - The RSPCA and one local charity, which will be selected after the game.

Supporters are advised to take note that there will be a delay after the game for cars exiting due to the access and traffic expected on the main road.

There is also street parking available in the local residential areas, although supporters are advised to park with consideration for the locals.

PARK & RIDE:

Forest Green are operating a Park & Ride service from Renishaw (Stroud Road, GL5 5HA). Over 200 spaces are available on a first come, first served basis costing £5 per car (cash only).

The service will start at 5:30pm with regular coaches running to and from the ground right up until kick-off.

After the conclusion of the match, coaches will take fans back to Renishaw from the bus stop outside The New Lawn on the main road, with the final coach leaving the ground at 10:30pm.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER:

A Temporary Traffic Order will be in place on Nympsfield Road (Spring Hill), which is the main access road between Nailsworth and The New Lawn.

As a result, this road will become a No Parking/No Waiting Zone from 4pm to 11pm tonight to help ease traffic congestion.

As part of this, a Traffic Enforcement Officer will also be operating on the streets near the stadium throughout the day, so fans are encouraged to park in line with local parking restrictions.
