Swindon Town Boss Dave Flitcroft spoke to the press in the wake of our 2-0 win against Forest Green Rovers earlier this evening.
Here are the key points from what he had to say...
ON THE RESULT AND PERFORMANCE:
"It is another away performance where we've been resilient, where we've been strong, where we've been solid and we've been patient.
"The habits and the attitude from the players was outstanding.
"We didn't want to come here and not be resilient and the structure tonight was fantastic.
"Vigs (Lawrence Vigouroux) has kept another clean sheet and the chances that they created were a couple of weak shots that didn't actually test us, so I'm delighted with the performance.
"We created some outstanding chances that if we are more ruthless then we would have taken and finished.
"We felt a little bit hard done by that we didn't go in at half-time 2-0 up with Mulls' chance (Paul Mullin) and Nozza's (Luke Norris) chance, it is a great block by the kid but it is a fantastic performance and I'm so delighted for the players that they were able to celebrate with the fans after.
"Our Swindon fans on the road have been brilliant.
"It was a good victory."
ON LUKE NORRIS:
"Luke has come off the pitch and how he hasn't scored I don't know, but he has apologised for that and that is Luke Norris - he makes honest mistakes.
"This kid wants to do so well for us, he wants to do so well for the club and we've won and the kid is hurting, so I'll support him and make sure that he doesn't beat himself up because he's been fantastic this season."
ON THE FIRST GOAL:
"We know that they mark zonal and we worked on a more aggressive run and on that goal there was miles more movement and aggressive movement.
"Zonal marking when players are stood still is difficult and you've got to bear down on the ball and on the area with an aggression and that was missing in the first-half.
"We took our line in and you could see everyone moving with a more aggressive stance."
ON MATTY TAYLOR'S FINE CAMEO:
"I said when I got him in that his quality is incredible.
"Chris Hussey came off with a slight groin strain after taking the free-kick and we've got to assess that, but Taylor came on at left-back and he just did what he does.
"He's got the experience, he's got the quality and I'm shouting from the bench 'keep it in the corner, keep it in the corner' and then he rifles it in, so it just shows you!
"It was fantastic."
ON HEALTHY COMPETITION:
"I had to chat with Johnny Goddard today because he didn't make it as I had to put Kyle Knoyle in due to a lack of defensive cover with Dion missing.
"I spoke to Johnny before the game and told him why and he accepted it and said that he just wanted us to win.
"We've got a good squad, a very supportive squad and it has shown tonight that everyone has been needed and they have done fantastic.
"And a big, big up to Robbo (Chris Robertson) tonight because it was a fautless display from him and I was delighted with his and Lancs' (Olly Lancashire) performance.
"Lancs is Mr. Steady, he's Mr. Consistent and he's been that tonight."
