Scott Twine was thrilled to make his home debut for Town on Tuesday night and is now hoping to kick on.
After impressing Phil Brown in training, the 18-year-old was handed his full debut for the club and he didn't disappoint, producing a hugely impressive display.
"I enjoyed every minute of playing," he said.
"I've been waiting for my chance for a long time, I've been working hard and the Gaffer put his faith in me and played me.
"I've been ready all season and I'm happy my chance came. I found out I was playing on Monday and I was buzzing.
"I should have scored one or two but I'll score those next time and see the game off.
"I'm happy to play anywhere and I enjoy every minute of it.
"The fans were brilliant and I appreciate that they clapped me off - it meant a lot to me.
"It was frustrating not to see the game out. We were the better side throughout and we've just got to take the positives from it, one point is better than no points.
"It was just frustrating that we were so close yet again."
