Town finally got their hands on a central defender on Thursday after clinching the loan signing of Millwall youngster Sid Nelson.
Here's all you need to know about our new signing...
- Sidney Raymond Kenneth Nelson was born in Lewisham on January 1st 1996 (22-years-old).
- Nelson stands at 6ft 1in.
- The 22-year-old is a cultured central defender who can play out from the back, but he's also not afraid to get stuck in.
- Sid signed for Millwall at the age of eight and was Captain of the youth team before being handed a professional deal in August 2014.
- He went on to make his senior debut for the club on 28th December 2014, earning rave reviews from manager Ian Holloway.
- The highly-rated centre-back has League Two experience having had stints on loan with Newport County, Yeovil Town and Chesterfield.
- Nelson is thought of highly at Millwall and he was rewarded with a new one-year contract in the summer.
- Sid will remain at SN1 until 1st January 2019 and he will wear the number five shirt during his stay.
