Swindon Town were unable to recover from an early setback after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Chesterfield on Saturday.
Chris O'Grady opened the scoring with just two-minutes played at the Proact Stadium, before Andy Kellet doubled his side's advantage shortly after the break.
Chris Robertson did pull one back but it was too little too late for Town, who finished the game with ten men after Ollie Banks was sent-off.
