Knoyle Enjoying Recent Run

Right-Back On Form And Chesterfield

23 February 2018

Kyle Knoyle is making the most of his recent run in the side and he's happy with the improvements he has made.

The youngster has made four straight starts for Dave Flitcroft's side with Kellan Gordon missing through suspension.

And Knoyle is hoping to keep his place in the team after coming on leaps and bounds in recent weeks.

"I've been enjoying it recently," he told the local media.

"Since the turn of the year I've had a little run, I was then out of the team for a couple of weeks but I got myself back in and it is probably the longest spell of starts I've had.

"I'm really enjoying it at the minute.

"I'm a full-back so I've had to adjust my game and I need to affect the game in the final-third and make my improvements, which I've been doing on the training pitch.

"I got an assist the other day which I was happy with and we're creating a lot of chances at the minute, so things are going well."

Town have been able to enjoy a free week following a gruelling run of games within a four-week period, and Knoyle is now looking forward to tomorrow's clash against Chesterfield.

"We've been able to spend more time focussing on the game and there's more time to recover," he added.

"We're fresh for the weekend.

"We're focussed on ourselves and as long as we can get the win this weekend then that's all we can do."
