Swindon Town Debutant Ollie Banks was pleased to have played his part in the 1-0 victory against Forest Green Rovers earlier today.
The midfielder, who joined on loan from Oldham Athletic on Friday, was thrown straight into the Starting XI and he produced a solid display to help his new side claim a huge three points.
"It was enjoyable," he told the local media.
"It was a local derby so it was never going to be easy because both teams didn't want to lose.
"I felt like we had the best chances, their keeper has pulled off three or four very good saves and there were a couple of deflections that could have gone either way.
"We grounded it out and we got the result in the end.
"Local derbies are always tight affairs but we did what we had to do and once we got the goal we played a percentage game and did what we had to do to see it out."
And Banks was happy with how his first game in a Town shirt unfolded after being presented with the Man of the Match Award following an impressive display.
"I was fairly happy," he added.
"I've trained with the lads for a couple of days so there is a lot more to come.
"I want to get into that box and score some goals."
