BREAKING: Moore Offers Town A Safe Pair Of Hands

Talented Keeper Signs On The Dotted Line At SN1

27 January 2018

Swindon Town are delighted to announce the signing of Goalkeeper Stuart Moore on a free transfer.

The stopper has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him remain at SN1 until the end of the season following his departure from Barrow A.F.C.

Moore will provide competition for places in the goalkeeping department and he is available for selection for today's Sky Bet League Two clash against Crewe Alexandra at The Energy Check County Ground.

Beginning his career with Reading, the highly-rated keeper went on to have loan spells with Hungerford, Bashley, Gloucester City, Bath City and Basingstoke.

He then joined Peterborough United on a loan deal, making his league debut in a 2-1 defeat to Swindon in 2016, before joining Luton Town where he featured in both legs of their 2016/17 Play-Off Semi-Final clash against Blackpool.

Moore has most recently been on the books of Barrow in the National League, but the 23-year-old is now looking forward to his new challenge with Town.

"I'm very excited to be here," he told iFollow STFC exclusively.

"As soon as I heard about the interest I couldn't wait to get started. It is a massive club, they've got big ambitions and that was one of the big reasons why I wanted to join the club.

"I've always known that Swindon has been a massive football club, I've always kept my eye on them and as soon as I spoke to the Gaffer and saw his ambitions and the team's ambitions, I really wanted to be a part of it.

"You go to any club that is fighting for promotion and it is a great experience to be a part of. Swindon is a massive club and I've come here to help get them promoted.

"Fingers crossed we can do that.

"Today's game has come quite quickly for me and I'm excited to get started."

Moore will wear number 28 during his time with Town.
