Elsnik Raring To Go Again With Town

Midfielder Ready To Make Up For Lost Time With Reds

It has been a frustrating couple of months for Timi Elsnik who has been sidelined with injury but, having made his comeback for Derby U23's in the week, the midfielder is now looking forward to getting back down to business with Town.

Elsnik hasn't featured for Town since November, which came as a blow to both club and player due to his superb form in the middle of the park for the Reds.

But, after coming through 60 minutes unscathed during a 7-2 win against Birmingham City's U23's on Monday, the 19-year-old is now itching to get back to it with Swindon and help them over the finishing line.

"It was brilliant to be back playing after eight weeks out," he told swindontownfc.co.uk.

"It was good to get 60-minutes as well before I came back to Swindon so I'm going to be game ready and I'm not going to have any questions in my head when I start playing league games again.

"I enjoyed it and it was good to be back. The main thing was to get 60 minutes under my belt and have no hesitations in my head because sometimes you can be scared to do something in case you get injured again.

"I feel fine, everything is out of the way now and I am 100% ready to play.

"Now is the most important part of the season and we have something to fight for, so I can't wait to get back to Swindon and help lift the team up and get us to promotion!"
