Flitcroft Not Expecting Too Much Activity

31 January 2018

Swindon Town Boss Dave Flitcroft is expecting a fairly quiet Transfer Deadline Day at The Energy Check County Ground.

Town have done the majority of their business early this month with Ollie Banks and Marc Richards coming in, while Keshi Anderson was tied down to a permanent deal.

There could be some movement today in terms of outgoings but Flitcroft admitted that he is more than happy with his current group of players should no fresh faces arrive by the 11pm Deadline.

"Harry Kane would be brilliant - I love him!," he joked when asked what his ideal Deadline Day would look like.

"That is a good squad of players, that is a good group of players and there is plenty of characters in there.

"What they did out of possession on Tuesday night (against Stevenage) was fantastic and I really respect that and it was a really respectable performance.

"If nothing happens then nothing happens.

"We'll then go forward with this squad with the lads coming back and we are very competitive.

"We are trying to balance what we are doing and there is a little bit of surplus, but we've got no control over whether or not someone wants to take one of our players.

"We'll be working on that and we'll try to get the balance right."
