Anderson On Pre-Season

Striker Speaks After Ciren Win

6 July 2018

Keshi Anderson has been happy with how the opening couple of weeks of pre-season have unfolded.

"It is all about getting minutes under your belt in a match situation," he said.

"Training is different to a match tempo so it is just dusting off the cobwebs and getting that first 45-minutes under your belt.

"Pre-season has been good to be fair, it has been tough but it has been good and we've been doing a few timed games so that they amount to the 45-minutes we played on Wednesday.

"It has got everyone up to speed and everyone has been doing their own fitness as well to get to where they need to be.

"Everyone is going to push on in the upcoming weeks and have that little bit of extra fitness."

Anderson played as a number nine during the win over Cirencester on Wednesday evening, a role the attacker enjoyed.

"It has been a while since I've played there! I told the Gaffer that I haven't played upfront for a long time but I enjoy playing up top on my own," he added.

"If I'm making the runs I make and the players are seeing it then they have to play it and it helps me get on the ball."
