Thornton Departs

Deano Takes Up National Team Role

10 July 2018

Swindon Town Football Club can confirm that Dean Thornton has left his position as Head of Goalkeeping with immediate effect.

Dean has taken up an exciting role as Goalkeeping Coach for the Taiwan National Team, which represents a huge opportunity.

Thornton joined the club in the summer of 2016 after serving as Academy Goalkeeping Coach for QPR, and he helped to develop the likes of Lawrence Vigouroux, Will Henry, Stuart Moore and Reice Charles-Cook.

We would like to thank Dean for his efforts during his time with us and we would like to wish him and his family the best of luck for the future.
