Swindon Town are delighted to announce the appointment of David Farrell as our new U18's Manager.

The former Peterborough United midfielder will take charge of the the club's Academy team from the 2018/19 campaign onwards.

As a result, we are also pleased to announce that Alan McLoughlin has now agreed to take on the role of Academy Manager on a permanent basis after stepping into the breach midway through last season.

Farrell, who also plied his trade for the likes of Wycombe Wanderers and Aston Villa during his playing days, most recently took charge of both the U18's and U23's at Peterborough United and will bring a wealth of experience with him to SN1.

Farrell will be tasked with leading Town's U18's and he will be working closely with McLoughlin, who will now manage and oversee all aspects of the club's Academy on a day-to-day basis.
