Swindon Town are delighted to announce the signing of experienced winger Jermaine McGlashan on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at The Energy Check County Ground following his departure from Southend United.
McGlashan becomes Town's first signing of the summer and the move will see him reunited with boss Phil Brown with the pair having worked together at Southend United.
With 329 EFL appearances under his belt, the pacey wideman will bring a wealth of experience to SN1 having spent the last four seasons in the Sky Bet League One.
Once on trial at Southampton, McGlashan spent two years with Aldershot between 2010 and 2012 before signing for Cheltenham Town, where he racked up over 116 outings for the Robins.
A move to Gillingham followed in 2014 where he linked up with our number nine Luke Norris, whilst the attacker has spent the last two years at Southend in the third tier of English football, making 70 appearances in total.
McGlashan will be expected to bring both goals and assists to his new team throughout 2018/19 and the winger can't wait to get down to business at SN1.
"I'm really excited and I can't wait to get started," he told swindontownfc.co.uk.
"You want to be challenging for promotion and Swindon is a massive club. It is such a good set-up, I know a few of the boys here and I've worked with the gaffer before so it was all part of my decision to come here.
"The gaffer knows me well, he knows my game and I know how he works - that was important to me.
"I can't wait to get going."
KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR MORE REACTION FROM OUR NEW SIGNING THROUGHOUT THIS EVENING.
