BIG MATCH PREVIEW: Exeter City V Swindon Town

Your Essential Guide To Saturday's Game

23 March 2018

Swindon Town are back on the road tomorrow with an important Sky Bet League Two clash against Exeter City awaiting them.

The Reds go into the contest off the back of a 3-1 win against Cambridge United in what was Phil Brown's first game in charge.

They will arrive at St James Park three points behind the Grecians in the table, with a victory of huge importance to both teams.

LAST TIME WE MET:

Kaiyne Woolery's first-ever goal for the club rescued a point for Town in a 1-1 draw with Exeter at The Energy Check County Ground in August 2017.

FULL RECORD V EXETER CITY:

TICKET NEWS:

Away tickets are SOLD OUT for tomorrow's game.

350 Town fans will be cheering on Phil Brown's side.

ONE TO WATCH:

Jayden Stockley became Exeter's record signing when he arrived from Aberdeen in the summer, and he's repaid the club's faith with 17 goals so far this season.

His eye for goal will be key to any hopes Exeter have of securing the points tomorrow and tightening their grip on a Play-Off spot.

TOP SCORERS:

EXETER CITY - Jayden Stockley (17)

SWINDON TOWN - Luke Norris (13)

TEAM NEWS:

EXETER CITY could welcome Troy Brown, Troy Archibald-Henville, Lee Holmes and Craig Woodman back into the fold, although Jordan Moore-Taylor will miss out with a knee injury.

SWINDON TOWN are sweating on the fitness of leading scorer Luke Norris, who picked up an ankle injury in the win over Cambridge last time out.

Amine Linganzi could be fit enough to make the bench but both Reice Charles-Cook and Donal McDermott will miss out.

A WORD FROM BOTH CAMPS:

Paul Tisdale, Exeter City Manager: "I think it is going to be a difficult game. They are an experienced team in many ways and they have just got an experienced manager who has taken over.

"So the players, I'm sure, will be on their best behaviour for him and give everything they have got."

Phil Brown, Swindon Town Boss: "It is a six-pointer for me. They are looking for exactly the same carrot at the end of it and that isn't just three points, it is being in the Play-Offs and getting a bit of success.

"They missed out last year, they were beaten at Wembley by Blackpool and that would have hurt them.

"They've been in this division for five years and I know the manager very well and he'll want to get out of this division.

"It will be a difficult place to go to."
