PHIL Brown is delighted to have secured the addition of Brian Horton as Town’s new assistant manager.
Horton is a part of a select group of managers to have taken charge of over 1,000 English league games. And that experience has been added to Brown’s backroom staff, with the new Town boss pleased to have his new assistant in place ahead of tomorrow's trip to Cambridge United.
“It was a choice of bringing another coach in or a man with experience in that position. I went for Brian because we already have Matty Taylor on board, who will have a foot in both camps now, in terms of playing and coaching.
“Brian is someone I know very well and we have worked together for a good while. Hopefully as a backroom staff we can work together, be successful and can achieve what we want to achieve this season.”
