NEW Swindon Town boss Phil Brown was encouraged by a determined display from the Reds' second string who earned a 3-2 win at AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday.
Less than 24 hours after accepting the role, Brown was casting an eye over 90 minutes of development action.
“It was a busy start that’s for sure. We got all the lads in for a session at 9.30am and got through some really good work with them,” he told Swindontownfc.co.uk.
“Then there was a game in the afternoon down at Bournemouth, which involved the subs from the weekend and several of the development players. It was a very good display, full of energy and desire and that’s just what you look for as a manager.”
He continued: “Regardless of age or experience everyone’s place is up for grabs.
“The team has come off the back of a defeat at the weekend but the reaction of the lads in today’s game was excellent.
“I now have problems in terms of team selection for the weekend because everyone applied themselves today.”
