INJURY UPDATE: McGivern To Train Ahead Of Crawley

Team News Ahead Of Monday

31 March 2018

Swindon Town Boss Phil Brown has provided a detailed injury bulletin ahead of our Easter Monday trip to Crawley Town.

The Gaffer sat down with the local press earlier today and revealed that he is hoping to have Ryan McGivern and potentially Olly Lancashire back available for Monday's clash against Harry Kewell's side.

"Ryan was looking like he was 50-50 for the game on Friday so I'm hoping he'll train on Sunday and throw his hat into the ring for Monday," Brown said.

"That is a fresh body but again another player who has missed a lot of football this season, so we'll see whether he starts or whether he is on the bench.

"Ryan is chomping at the bit. He's got the nice balance of a left foot, he can play at centre-back or at left-back and he's got options to his game which is another string to my bow.

"Olly will train on Sunday hopefully with a view to being involved on Monday, whether that is on the bench or from the start."

Brown also provided updates on Reice Charles-Cook and Ellis Iandolo who have both been missing from action for a while.

"There is no signs of Ellis making any kind of return at the moment," he added.

"Maybe we will see him out on the training ground at the end of next week.

"Reice Charles-Cook came through a medical examination yesterday, he had a scan and everything was clear.

"I'm hoping that he's going to throw his hat into the ring for selection, he hasn't done that yet so I'm waiting for that opportunity."
